What do you know about ‘ley’ lines?
No, don’t run away! I’m not going to mention UFOs, ancient aliens or little green men, but about ‘energy’ lines that are known in many parts of the world to connect places of historical or megalithic importance or places in nature which have that special ‘sense of place’. Also included are sites which seem to have some ancient spiritual significance. Why not Google it if you want to learn more.
Anyway, those that understand these things say that there is a ‘ley’ line running across our mountain and they claim that there is a strong energy that pervades special parts of the mountains, streams, indigenous forests and grasslands.
I’m only mentioning this because I’ve been told about it and I would be very interested to know if this is something that should, perhaps, be included amongst our already lengthy list of visitor attractions.
Old Fred Bullock is not one to be caught lying down flat on some grassy swathe or on a mountain peak – a blunt one, of course – listening for energy vibration, but I’m sure that I am not too old to start!
What I am prepared to admit is that the slow beat of Mother Earth’s heart can best be heard in some quiet place away from the din of urban life and the incessant buzz of technology.
As a visitor or even as a local resident, have you sensed anything extra special about our beautiful area? Something that you can’t quite explain but which sends you home feeling invigorated and more than ready to face the big, bad world?
You could blame our ‘ley’ line or maybe it is just that special atmosphere of friendliness, good food, fresh air, clean water and comfortable lodgings which you were offered on our Mountain.
I’m very glad to be living back here in a place that’s simply different.
Come and touch that difference and, if you see some elderly bloke lying on the ground in an enchanted indigenous forest, firstly, check that he’s still breathing and secondly, if you are looking for Fred Bullock, it might even be him!
Be good and stay safe and them’s my sentiments!
Fred Bullock
